The Training

Ground yourself in a rich history and dynamic method of personal growth

in our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course. This convenient in-person training follows a weekends-only format, and is designed for the brand-new beginner and experienced practitioner alike. 

​

The course will empower you with the physical confidence, technical knowledge, and leadership skills necessary to teach powerful classes, and create meaningful change in the lives of others.

​

Once you've completed the training, you will be ready to teach yoga anywhere, such as with private, group, and corporate clients in studios, gyms, retreats, and clinical settings. 

​

Stillness Academy is the ONLY Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School 

in Beaufort, South Carolina, and as a graduate of this training, you will be eligible 

to register with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-200 level.

What You'll Learn

Stillness Academy offers an authentic teacher training experience, and covers topics ranging from yogic history, philosophy, anatomy, physiology, postures (asana),

class sequencing, cueing, hands-on assistance, meditation, leadership, and introductions to the Business of Yoga.

Throughout the training, you will receive personalized coaching to take your practice to the next level, as well as several opportunities for practice teaching and feedback, to help you to become even more capable and confident in your skills as a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher.

Our typical training schedule looks like:

Saturday 8 AM - 5 PM (with 1 quick break and 1 lunch break)
Sunday 8 AM - 4 PM (with 1 lunch break)

Quick breaks are 15-30 minutes, and lunch breaks are 60 minutes.

Meet Your Instructor

Megan Clavijo

Megan is the Director of Admissions, and head of Instructor Development at Stillness Academy. 

She oversees the development of our Instructor Certification Programs, and serves as the main point of contact between families and the Academy. A native of Beaufort, SC, she joined the Academy in 2014.
 
As a Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 Instructor, Megan has acumulated nearly 3,000 hours of experience in teaching and professional yoga training over the past decade. She was introduced to yoga in 2011 and became a certified children's yoga instructor and  RYT 200 in 2012. She has assisted and facilitated several professional training programs throughout the Southeastern United States, and earned received her RYT 500 certification in 2016. 

She is the head of the only Yoga Alliance Registered School in Beaufort, SC.

    Think of us as a Holistic School for Things That Aren't Taught in School. For example, traditional education teaches students what the different parts of the body are called; we teach students how to strengthen, heal, and protect their bodies. Traditional schools offer Social Studies courses like History, Geography, and Civics; we teach students social skills like developing healthy relationhips, ethical living, and service.   • What ages do you work with?
    For private training, we work with humans of ALL ages. For group class enrollment, we accept students beginning at age 7.
  • How to get started?
    Our enrollment process for New Students is simple: 1. Submit an Application (or Contact Us if you have questions). 2. We'll contact you to discuss your application and education options. 3. Begin screening/onboarding classes. 4. After screening/onboarding, we will notify you regarding applicaton status. 5. Upon application approval, submit tuition and move into regular classes.
